Welcome Baby Sydney! And Some Creativity

First things first!! Sharon had a baby girl today, Sydney weighed 7 lbs and was 20 3/4 inches long. Sharon and Sydney are both in good health. Congrats to her and Jonathan! (Photos to follow soon!)

Amanda sticks with her workouts while on vacation, and not having any traditional weights certainly did not stop her. Rock thrusters on the dock, looks like fun!!

Tuesday WOD

10 Rounds of 10 reps of...

Kettlebell Swings
Pull Ups
Sit Ups
Threaded Lunges
Box Jumps

Start and Finish the 10 rounds with a 600m run.

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

Congrats Sharon! So tell me, when will Sydney begin doing Crossfit workouts? I think she'll be ready in about a year . . . maybe?

Doc D?! Such a strong start on Monday... we missed you today.

Sydney already has a strong grip for pull ups, I tested it out this morning.

By the way, she is the most adorable baby girl I have ever seen.

I was unable to make it, but I did do some stuff at home for once (this did not include lifting a large rock over my head). Amanda, word on the street is the "rock" you are lifting was made by your kids out of paper mache

unable to make it = slept in

I will be there at 6AM tomorrow. Let's go Doc.

perhaps Brooks will make it for the 6am tomorrow so you two can shake on this 150 thrusters challenge, that will turn into a party for the rest of us!

Has anyone already signed up for the Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge? I was waiting to see if a shoulder issue will possibly stop me from competing.
I know Sam is getting ready to watch Brooks do his Thrusters so no trip to CrossFit BWI for Flabio!
Congrats to Sharon on the new arrival.

Hey Rob, Long time amigo! As for the Mid-Atlantic, I just found out it's on the 18th, I thought it was the weekend before. If that's the case I'm already committing to a jiu-jitsu tourney on the 18th. If I have the dates wrong please let me know.

I'll post a photo of Sydney tomorrow!

Thanks Pam. Serena and I are looking to start up again in September. By the way, October 11th for the Hopper Challenge...I'll make the commitment as soon as I get another CF Philly contestant to join me down there. Let me know ASAP. And again, I'll make my Concept 2 rower available for the Challenge prep before going down there. Brooks? Rich? Flabio? Doc D? oh and that dude who swings kettlebells and has a lot of tattoos? JBC? What's his name again?

Oh, and that other dude who went to Mexico? Craig? Greg? Anyone else? See you all in September...sorry to skip out on the crew...A kettlebell is useless in the hands of a sleep deprived sack of crap!
