Coupla things: 1) Pam is guest blogging at Survival of the Fittest this week, in case you want to check out her deeeelicious BBQ recipes. Today is appetizer day: http://experiencelifemag.com/blogs/ survival-of-the-fittest
2) Can we talk about the music during class lately? (All classes.) Wait, let me reframe that: Who would get on board if there was an option to BYO workout mix CD?
Anyone interested could claim one session and use it to impose their musical tastes on everyone else (we can work out the calendar as people volunteer to make mixes).
Obviously there is an option to mock people's selections -- that's half the fun. Thoughts? Takers?
I personally don't care what we listen to when you guys work out (well for the most part that is), however you might want to wait on some commentary from the folks who tried this arrangement before a few months back.
I thought a fight was going to break out between Ward and Mini-Coop. She said something about Ward's Boy George collection that he didn't take to kindly and then... well...
Impossible. I still have a huge crush on Boy George (well maybe not so much now that he's all fat and always getting arrested).
I do know that Ward is a huge fan of George Michael. I once overheard someone - whom I believe was Aaron - tell him, "I have a lot of respect for a guy who has George Michael on his iPod playlist."
i think personalized playlists are a great idea. we can learn all about eachother. for instance, we already know that jason is stuck in the mid-90's and pam likes to be really sad when she works out--or at least when we work out. it could be the start of something beautiful...
I'm checking up on you and that workout blog for the both of you. Let us know when the whole family will be in town we'll have a Preston workout party. (and I won't play NIN)
Rumor has it that LAURI PRESTON is in Philly for 3 weeks!!!
Lauri-- Get your a$$ to a 6am class.
Jen-- we tried the ipod gig before. Holy $hit-- Everyone's music was bad EXCEPT for mine. Come on- who does not like "New Kids on the Block" and Barry Manilow???!
The computer speakers that we have now are not loud enough to hear over the fans so....let's get the ipods rolling. Be prepared for commentary.
Greg, I think Jen and Kate's point was for them to listen to music they liked during the workout. Not the music that you like. (my music is always very cheerful)
Ahhh, CF Philly I really miss you all so much. I promise Lauri will get some for both of us before she leaves, and we'll make a dual appearance sometime later this year! Rich and Sam, my Mountain Bike is way too clean! Jason, Kona's doing pledge pushups during tummy time (hee hee).

PainStorm @8? If so, what is it?
It hasn't been posted yet, so I don't know what it is. Sorry.
Don't be sorry Pam.

I love it! Crossfit playlists are the only way to go. Just one caveat - Jen can play Chris Brown to her heart's content!
Please, Pam and Jason, pleeeease??

It wasn't a pretty picture.
Any trips down memory lane??

Jason and Pam, I "absentee-voted" for Crossfit Philly! Get some! Miss you guys...
Erik!!!!!!!!!!

Pam's a closet Goth!!!!!!!!!!!
Stewie, you're too funny.
Mini-coop...Goerge Mike, Boy George... I knew it was one of those.
Erik, I miss you homeboy. Is Kona squatting yet ?
JenS,
Editor in charge, does squatting have two t's ? It doesn't look correct.
Actually, there are three t's in squattting, if you are lifting enough.
I love George Michael. Though maybe a little less these days -- for the same reasons Susannah loves Boy George less than she used to.
Ah my secret's out!
oh man....long and accurate playlist memories!
who could forget the video from my one (and only!) George Michael song? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zjpwqm-8QEg
for the record I don't have any Wham on my iPod!
Ward,
What about Father Figure?! What about Faith? I don't believe you've limited yourself to Freedom.
So can we try this little experiment again? I'm kinda curious what Sam has on his playlist.
Sam has Barry Manilow... Lots & lots of Barry Manilow... Not that there's anything wrong with that!
What's up Eric!

Seacrest out.
Well if I'm using my ipod it's Andrew W.K. and Rick Ross. Complain if you want to.
Greg, I think Jen and Kate's point was for them to listen to music they liked during the workout. Not the music that you like. (my music is always very cheerful)
Ok wait, I know this blog is old by now but HOW DID I MISS A DISCUSSION ABOUT GEORGE MICHAEL?
I went to the concert at the Wachovia Center on Saturday and it was the best night of my life. Careless Whisper 4 ever!!!
Erica, you must have not blogged much today!
pam, there is nothing cheerful about radiohead. face it. do you by chance wear lots of black eyeliner when you are home?
sam--word up to NKOTB. that's keepin' it old school.
and when it comes down to the battle of the georges...i am with boy george all the way. do you really want to hurt me?
i don't know how i will fit all my fabulous musical selections onto one playlist....
yes, stewie, I do really want to hurt you if you're saying Boy George is better. GM all the way!
Take care ya'll...
Yes, I wear black eyeliner to sleep at night.
I'm definitely coming while I'm in town. I'll be huffing and puffing, but I'm going to be there!
