Rob, did you do max attempts this morning?

Rob couldn't do max attempts...The bar can't hold that many plates.

I of course exhausted myself doing sandbag deadlifts which resembled get-ups.

Greg,
I tested myself on the "totals" today. I was happy b/c it was the first time I have back squatted or barbell deadlifted in 2yrs, and I had never done a barbell strict press before. Totals are as follows.
Squat: 315
DL: 337
Press: 186

Press was all I had, but Squat & DL still had some in the tank. Pretty bad overall (considering my bodyweight), but alas that is my starting point.

duh total= 838

Dr D, impressive numbers to start with. You have another 162 lbs for a 1000 total. You should easily get to a 940 total in another 5 or 6 weeks.

Doc D, 6am tomorrow? Greg?

Wow...Doc D...that's great. When did you go in? I was in at 6:30AM with Pam, Greg, & Dawn. I apparently have a new stand-up routine which has been witnessed by an elite few...the act starts with the removal of my shoes and ends with some sort of funky dance getting the plates out of the corner after negotiating the kettlebells.
I did not do any max attempts, Pam. Maybe when I get through this week, I'll try them.
Sam- If you can't make it tomorrow, I will lose all hope. No weather excuses considering it's summer outside right now. How's Charly by the way?
Is Rich still out there? See ya tomorrow?

I told Doc D he could easily be at or near 1100 by the end of May. He hardly struggled with the squat and once his deadlift was touched up a bit it looked very easy.

Rob has an interesting approach with the weight plates prior to lifting!

Greg, those DLs with the sandbags, very creative.

Sam, it is not cold enough for you to stay bundled beneath your blankets, we will see you tomorrow morning!

Sam you can't dupe me again w/ your powers of suggestion. 90% sure I am going to class tonight. I will see about tommorow.
Rob, very impressive that your paternity leave is so short.

I will be there....punks. :)

Doc D...I am negotiating the 6AM hour as my "Me-Time"...the other 23 hours of the day are owned by my wife...only fair after 10 months of hauling a watermelon around on her stomach.

Yo Pam

I finally wrote on the blog! I was wondering if you were gonna be at the gym early tomorrow so I could try the Feb Challange. Also, do you have written down the quickest time it was completed in? Thanks

Pamela MacElree said...

Today's WOD 39:52 with 7pm class.

Stephen, the best time for the February Challenge is 29:36 by Rich, after that is Greg with 31:09. I'll be there.

Sam, I won't be there tomorrow AM but I'm waking up at a$$ o' clock on Thursday. You should be there.

Doc D, apparently you're a professional weightlifter at heart.

Rob, that was an impressive show you put on today. I think an encore is in store.

Pam, my creativity stems from those I'm around (Sometimes)

Yes, very.
