Crossfit Trivia Contest: This conversation took place on the track yesterday (Sunday):
Person A: "I thought you were going to run today?" Person B: "Naaaaaaaahh" Person C: "That is bull S**T. You said you would run." Person B: "OK. If you buy me french toast I will run." Person A & C: "Deal!!!!" Person B: "Geeeesh. I didn't think you would say yes to that"
Having overcome the gastro-intestinal compensation requirements.Person B STILL opted out of running. Citing only "wardrobe issues as the problem".
I think the Running menu was: 1: Hold the French Toast 2: 800m (2 laps) Rest 1-2min Repeat 2 more times 3: 400m followed by 25 BW squats Rest 4: 25 squats followed by 400m 5: 400m cool down
Also were were allowed to gripe and complain as needed.
Clarification on the reasoning for Person C not running. Person C was at the track to provide coaching, moral support, and also needed to time the 800s and the 400s for consistancy. Also, I believe the wardrobe issue was only brought up when Person C was threatened to be de-pantsed (and I have no idea how to spell that) by Person A.
I think the menu yesterday also included a burger with fried egg, bacon, and cheese served on a glazed doughnut. Oh and a 200 meter sprint between me and Doc D that was somehow avoided.
Sam...now are you Travis Bickle of the New York Cab Company?...that surely isn't Flabio in camo... Looks like a solid Sunday Running Menu. I like the complaining throughout. So I'm guessing that A,B, & C were junior high school students who happened to be at the track on Sunday @ 10AM.
Unfortunately, I will be out this Sunday, but I will do it next time. As far as my schedule this week, I am trying for tonight's class, which will mean I will probably skip 6am and try for Tues night. Any questions?
Skipping the AM class will now be known as pulling a Flabio. "It was too cold this morning so I pulled a Flabio and I will try to make it to tonight's class (if it warms up)."
Maybe I'll re-think my plans to take Sunday off...the competition between the naysayers is really heating up.
I talked to league officials about the fee increase on the Albany EC CF Challenge. It will go up to $100 after today. I'm working on buses to get the entire crew up there. We are already on the 6th page of the signup list so that's good. I also confirmed that AllisoNYC will be there and will be available for pictures and autographs. I know Sam/Flabio/Travis wanted her to sign his 2008 Eva calendar... and DOc D mentioned how sweet it would be to have signature on his Chuck Taylors.
The link doesn't come up, but I started to listen to the radical food conversation and decided to run to my car. It was also nice to meet all of the new faces. When the soreness in my legs subsides, maybe I will see you again. I would like to interject an old favorite treat that I have never tried, but we can add to the nasty food category. The Elvis Presley heart attack special. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fool%27s_Gold_Loaf
I think I left that on someone's front lawn after a night of drinking, but I couldn't eat that. I thought he was a Fluffer Nutter fan...Peanut Butter and marshmallow fluff...I can do that! That's a great recipe though...it seems like it was meant for a survivalist getting ready for the Rapture...or Elvis
Here's the clarification on who says they are going and competing at the EC CF Challenge; Greg, Rob, and Me. Rich was on the list but I'm not sure of the status. Are you guys still in? I'm registered.
I have a handful of other 'maybes' and some spectators. By the way, if I'm the only girl doing this thing, I want some motivational support once you guys are done doing whatever it is you plan on doing.
Susannah, you might officially have a new name, Mini Coop.
I'm just trying to drum up some support from the Philly crowd. If Pam is the only female from Philly, I'm sure AllisoNYC will gladly lend her "support" to the perennial underdogs. I'll be there with the family, enjoying pork. Have that Super Fantastic day....see you in the AM.
I like the moniker...after all, no two Minis are alike!
Are the women who compete in the CF Challenge at the same level as Eva, Annie and Nicole (the women from the CF videos posted on the main Web site). They're insanely strong and make CF exercises look ridiculously easy.
If that's what the competition is like, there's no way I could do it. And do men and women compete at the same time and/or together?

Can you guess who this person is?
Bella, perhaps?
Well Pam says Geesh and Naaahhh...and doesn't like running...and does enjoy breakfast...Absolutely no idea here.
And more importantly, Doc D was there yesterday....How the hell are you feeling today? And what was on the menu for workouts?
If Dawn and Nick are the the good and the bad, dare I ask if there's an ugly out there?

Rob, There is no ugly, we're all pretty here.

Let it be known that the depantsing threat was from person "C" not "A". Also, Gregory I already responded to your 200m post in Yesterday's blog....
Just the description of that burger was enough to make me want to avoid food for the rest of the week!
Clarification on Person A and C accepted, thanks for making the distinction.
Should we have a 50m sprint before this Sunday's trail run to clear up the hostility of missing out on the event?
Count me in for the Sunday Trail run.
Go Phils!

Doc D. I didn't notice your post yesterday as I was in the library being a very hardworking student.
Also, 50m is too short. I'm like a Mac truck. it takes me a while to get going but once I'm at full speed there's no stopping me. Let's do 100m.
Skipping the AM class will now be known as pulling a Flabio.

It was nice meeting all of the Sunday runner's including A and C, and thanks B for keeping time.
Good idea Pam - I will post the following recipe on my fridge and use it as an appetite suppressant.

PS> Why do I think Rob will tell me that he has eaten this before?

Greg,
If you're a Mac Truck then Susannah must be a turbo Mini Cooper, she whipped all or our butts... That girl can run..
Dr. D I was thinking of going to the 7 PM class tonight... May see you there..
Aww LP!!!!! Nice to have your comments. (Is that O'Malley? - sorry I don't know how to spell her name.)
Ok, these heart attack meals have to go!
Susannah can run, I think she'll end up leading us through the trails this weekend.
"You talking to me?"
I am afraid to weigh in tomorrow. I lost so much weight it is scary.
3 months free. Thanks Pam and Brownie.
Rob,
Where did you see the list of participants for the challenge. Who from Crossfit Philly is definately going?
Rob,
I found that have about 20 competitors as of yesterday. Here is a link to a thread:
http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?p=272352
Turbo Mini-Cooper...I'm digging the compliment, Rich! I can't wait for our run in the woods on Sunday, the track is excruciatingly boring.
And what happened to the appetizing part of yesterday's breakfast talk, like Honey's Sit 'n Eat's signature Challah French Toast?
I'm not smart enough to remember a fancy work like Challah.
