I can't give up a good competition.

Women: 12:46
Men: 16:40

Yay Girls!!! 2 More Rounds to go!

Talk about variations with the Slosh Pipe, this is crazy...

JCB, yes indeed - with only 5 reps at a pop, I was all over it. The pull ups were a less impressive show, in spite of Pam's support. More work to do....

Re today's 6am - pleased to see you place your bets well - although calling Leroy a girl, might be dangerous....

Somebody could write a PhD dissertation on how the "girls" team won this morning....it was classic stuff.

So are we doing the boys vs girls challenge tonight?

Pamela MacElree said...

The girls also won during the 9am class, but just as Leroy was considered a girl this morning, I was considered a boy for the workout.

Spreading 2250 reps between 3 people is tough stuff.

Amanda worked hard last night!

Same workout is in the cards for tonight, it might be altered depending on how many people show up.

Check out Daddy Doc D!

Hey Jeanette,

Yep, boy vs. girls. Is that a 24kg in your hand ?

Sam do you see me in the picture hanging from the pullup bar. What an action shot! I can hang there for 10 second ya know! I Crossfitted Mon night and Tues morning, I am very tired now.

PS> Amanda, my dissertation will be titled: I honestly feel that the girls cheated this morning.

yep..for sumo dead lifts. I wasn't swinging that thing.

Dr. D -
Chapter One must then be titled: "Typical male reaction(s) to female prowess."

.....and you're normally so creative.....how disappointing.

are we still making allowances for your newly acquired parental state? or should I say "stasis"?

my my......

Dog training has been tough. Exhausted! Probably see you on Saturday...depending on how much sleep I can get.

I have gotten so lazy...My wife took this pic of me today "walking" the dog.

Chapter 2: Expect the typical female response when caught red-handed.

I see that someone gets a new pair of sassy sneakers and decides to use them to walk all over my ego. If only you used your powers for good Amanda. However, I do give you credit for working out last night and half credit for today's cheat-fest.

That pic is awesome

Doc D- Feel free to call me Hobie...that was awesome that you caught that and knew who I was talking about...Cheers to you and the family!
On another note, I thought Sam would be driving a Smartcar to go along with his very efficient yet ferocious Schnorkie...That would be a great shot: Sam driving with his head sticking out the sunroof and his arm out the window...

Leroy and Team Femme Fatale took it up a notch and beat the crap out of the All-Dude team. It was a good thing that Sam got up this morning, put on his skirt and bunny slippers, and trained his dog rather than help us out, but I'm not complaining.

Amanda said...

Well, if you insist.

Chapter 3: "The best defense is a good offense." You know what it will say.

I'm pretty sure Sammy would have crossed over and joined us, had he laid out his down gloves and hat ahead of time. was just too cold for him to contemplate leaving the house w/o 'em.

Dr. D. the true heroism in the day is truly all yours. I can't even remember the first three months of both my kiddos....note that Rob is staying well out of that line of blog banter (appreciate your kudos to the "ladies", Rob!)

Thanks Amanda!

7pm class broke out into Team Monica and Team Johnnie, over/under an age (to be disclosed), leaders were picked because they were the same age and it made the teams even.

Team Monica blew them out of the water (3 girls and a guy) by 11 minutes.

Wish I could chime in on a title for Chapter 4 but I'm speechless.

Sammy!!! I'm giving you until next week. If I don't see you, I'm sending a driver to pick up you and your schnorkie.

Aileen Wuornos said...

Pam, I'd like to hope that Team Johnnie was miscounting badly, but I guess we'll never know.

Pamela MacElree said...

There seemed to be some struggles in the cognitive ability of Team Johnnie during tonight's workout. I know that 10 extra in and outs were completed!

ethan said...

Allright, I give... what are deep in and outs?

Kettlebell Athletics said...

Awww, look who's here... Erica !

Pig Bodine,

You have to visit CF Philly to find out.

ethan said...

You're in Mt. Airy, I'm in center city, and you don't do the Old City workouts anymore.

Pamela MacElree said...

It's just a short trip, really we have quite a few OC folks in MA.

Anyway, Deep In and Outs start standing, jump out to a deep squat and then back to standing in a narrow stance, each time you get back to standing with full knee and hip extension it's one rep.

We are well worth the trip!

Not enough hours in the day. Either way I really appreciate the WODs you guys post. I have been doing them since April and am the strongest I have ever been. I just bought my first Kettlebell and now have bruises on the backs of my forearms from learning to do snatches.

Pamela MacElree said...

pig b, you should not have bruises from practicing the snatch, initially perhaps, not after a few training sessions with it. When recieved overhead you should have a smooth, no-impact landing that you can barely feel.

If you have specific questions please let us know.

Glad you like the WODs.
