Good Luck!

Good luck to Sharon, Susan, Megan, and Dawn this weekend as they take on the Bald Eagle Mountain Megatransect Ultrahike. It's pretty much a marathon through the mountains. They'll have some tough terrain, a few boulders, some nice scenary, and Susan urging them all to run!!

Stay safe and be smart ladies!

MISSION COMPLETE!
I rolled into the finish line at 8 hours, 55 minutes. It was a great race! The mountains we had to run . . . errrr, I mean walk up definitely sucked the wind out of me but there was always a nice downhill as a reward. And the views from way up high were spectacular.
My favorite part of the race was the boulder field. It's early in the race, somewhere around mile 5 1/2, and it's a half mile climb up the side of the mountain to the top. Challenging, intimidating but well worth the effort. You can see two pictures of the boulders by going to this blog:

Notice in the second photo that you can barely see the guy. :)

Overall I feel pretty good. I'm going to give my body a rest for a few days and I hope to be back at Crossfit later this week. Be kind to all Megatransectors when we return. :)
